Colin Farrell’s Transformation Into Batman’s Penguin Renders Him Unrecognizable

Colin Farrell looked beyond recognition as the villain, the Penguin, in a new trailer for The Batman.
The trailer for the highly-anticipated reboot The Batman premiered at the DC FanDome virtual convention, and many fans marveled at director Matt Reeves’ interpretation of the iconic movie. Other social media users, however, couldn’t stop talking about Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
With the help of prosthetics and makeup, Farrell transformed into his version of Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin and made brief appearances in the teaser.
Fans and movie critics wasted no time in commenting on Farrell’s transformation on Twitter.
“Is Twitter messing with me or is this really Colin Farrell as Penguin in the Batman trailer? If so this is one of the best transformation makeups I’ve ever seen,” a Twitter user asked. “To be honest, a little disappointed we are not getting Colin Farrell as hot Penguin,” another user felt after seeing the trailer. Others thought the actor resembled another actor, Richard Kind.
Along with Farrell, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson, Peter Sarsgaard, Zoe Kravitz and Andy Serkis. The movie is slated to hit theaters on 1 October 2021.
