Mike Pence Gets Ridiculed After Pledging To ‘Make America Great Again—Again’

Mike Pence has been ridiculed after his attempt to rebrand Donald Trump’s slogan did not go so well.
During the Republican National Convention (RNC), the US vice president had social media users’ attention when he told the virtual audience, “We’re going to make America great again, again,” seemingly an update to Trump’s 2016 campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again.”
Viewers were swift in criticizing Pence, saying that the administration had failed in making America great during its time in the office. “‘Make American Great Again, Again‘—the 2020 GOP platform is basically that Trump deserves a mulligan,” a user tweeted. “Mr Pence just capped off his surprise speech at the RNC by pledging to ‘make America great again, again,’ which sounds like an acknowledgement that the first term didn’t go so well,” New York Daily News reporter Chris Sommerfeldt weighed in.
Others jokingly wrote that it was a way for the Trump administration to sell new merchandise.
Trump has settled on the phrase, ”Keep America Great,” as his 2020 campaign slogan. “So, our new slogan, this is on the assumption it happens, you can never be 100-percent sure, is going to be, ‘Keep America Great,” he proclaimed.
