NSFW: Eerie Mass Grave With 1,500 Bodies Placed In Circular Pits Found In Japan NSFW

An ancient burial ground of circular graves containing over 1,500 bodies has been discovered in Osaka, Japan.
The mass grave, called the Umeda Tomb, is said to be a burial site dating back to 160 years in the Edo period. Each circular grave saw several bodies bent into one hole.
The Osaka City Board of Education and the Osaka City Cultural Heritage Association have been excavating the site where the burial ground was found since 1991. In a statement, Osaka City said that the remains—including human bones—are in the process of “being sorted and analyzed.”
Experts believe that the bodies were buried together due to epidemic-related deaths.
The researchers also found remains of animals like piglets, horses and cats. According to the city officials, the graveyard is believed to be one of the seven historical gravesites under the city.
