Enter Frida Kahlo’s Home & Studio Shared With Diego Rivera In New Virtual Tour

It can be challenging to maintain a productive equilibrium when you’re stuck indoors most hours of the day and can’t get fresh air or inspiration from the world outside. Perhaps the muse you seek comes from another home—more specifically Frida Kahlo’s former home.
Kahlo enthusiasts out there can now rejoice, as the Frida Kahlo Museum has just virtually opened up for extensive online tours. The establishment, located in the Coyoacán borough of Mexico City, also covers the renowned Casa Azul (Blue House), the vibrant living space shared between the Mexican female icon and her husband Diego Rivera.
The free zoomable tour includes a visit to Casa Azul’s bedrooms, traditional kitchen, dining room, and—quite excitably—the very studio where Kahlo painted in.
The rooms appear just as how the artist couple had left them, so guests will still have a rather intimate look at the pair’s lives almost 70 years after Kahlo’s passing at the age of 47 in 1954.
Of course, the colorful museum, which opened in 1958, also features the couple’s iconic artworks, such as Frida and the Caesarian Operation (1931) and Long Live Life (1954).
You can now step inside the Frida Kahlo Museum and envision the Mexican painter’s personal life by fully exploring its grounds through this riveting virtual tour.
