Nike Celebrates Power Sisters Serena & Venus Williams In Poignant Tennis Ad

For tennis fans, the calendar turning September can only mean one thing: the start of the US Open and a chance to catch Serena Williams and Venus Williams on the court.
To celebrate the sisterly love, Nike has teamed up with advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy Portland to create an ad titled You can’t stop sisters. The spot carries viewers through the Williams’ early years and highlights each of their astonishing wins.
Serena has 23 Grand Slam titles, and Venus has seven. Both sisters have been ranked World No 1—Venus for 11 weeks in February 2002 and Serena for a total of 316 weeks since July 2002.
“Ever since we were little girls you have compared us to each other,” Serena said in a voiceover. “It’s funny, you saw two tennis players trying to win a game. We saw two sisters changing it.”
The siblings shared the ad on their social media platforms with the caption, “When one of us wins, we both win. You can’t stop sisters.”
