Doctor’s Viral TikTok Hack Reveals How To Adjust Your Mask To Fit Perfectly

A TikTok video showing how to make your surgical face mask fit better amid the coronavirus pandemic has gone viral, amassing over five million views.
The clip showed Dr Olivia Cuidmd laying out some steps on making your mask better fitted for your face. “Start by washing your hands, here I have a loose-fitting surgical mask, and as you can see, the sides of your face are left very exposed to the outside,” she said at the beginning of the clip.
She then instructed viewers to fold their masks in half, and then take the ear loop on each side and tie it with a knot. “You do want to tie that knot as close as possible to the corners of your mask, so it’s nice and secured,” she emphasized.
She recommended anyone with smaller faces to use this simple hack to maximize the use of their face masks. Watch the tutorial below.
