Disney Princesses With Realistic Proportions Prove True Belles Live Among Us

With all this talk about live-action remakes of classic Disney films, one can’t help but wonder how their beloved characters would appear with hyperrealistic features.
California-based illustrator Holly Fae quenched her curiosity by remodeling the proportions of Disney characters’ faces to closely resemble people you know in real life.
She also ensures her Disney princess transformations are true to their heritage. Telling Bored Panda, Fae said she has “put a lot of care” in the makeovers, especially for heroines of color like Moana and Jasmine. “I spent lots of time looking at photos of women of their ethnicities because I wanted to get the features right,” she elaborated.
What’s also noteworthy is that the characters’ facial features aren’t replaced with someone else’s, but contorted using tools like the liquify option on the iPad’s Procreate app. The artist’s satisfying work process can be enjoyed through videos posted on TikTok, which have raked in millions of views.
The character designs even have fans of their own, as other TikTokers have stepped forward to reveal how much they resonate with the revamped facial features of Frozen’s Elsa and Anna, Wreck-It Ralph’s Vanellope, and even Tangled’s Flynn Rider.
