Nancy Pelosi Gets A Formidable Action Figure That ‘Won’t Crack Under Pressure’

Watch out, Barbie. A new powerful figurine is here to command rooms, and most certainly the cabinet.
Brooklyn-based design studio FCTRY’s latest real-life action figure is modeled after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the highest-ranked woman in US political history. With that being said, don’t let that dollface fool you.
According to the studio, the action figure’s appearance is also inspired by Pelosi’s innate characteristics. Her acrylic-based plastic composition, for one, means she “won’t crack under pressure,” while her “short stature” of just six inches leaves space for “BIG impact.”
The Nancy Pelosi Action Figure is also a style icon, and is presented in two colorways—deep blue and magenta—along with gold bracelets to “dazzle enemies.” Not forgetting, she’s always picture-ready, and is designed to be photographable on any flat surface.
The model arrives with a number of 2020’s “must-have accessories,” FCTRY tells DesignTAXI, namely a removable mask to protect the health and safety of others; a gavel “for distributing swift justice;” and a gold Mace of the Republic brooch, which represents authority in the House.
The real-life action figure is priced at US$20, with US$1 from each sale going to the League of Women Voters civic organization. You can pre-order yours here before shipping begins in November.
