Joe Biden Campaign Releases Its Official Swag For Free On ‘Animal Crossing’

You may recall presidential elect Joe Biden as the same grandpa who told people to “go to 30330” as if it were a website. Well, in the span of a year, it seems his team has caught up with the digital game—not only is Biden’s website praised for its adept design, the campaign has also unleashed an array of Biden-Harris-themed designs into Nintendo’s hit social simulation Switch game, Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
After making cool yard signs for the fan-favorite game, the Biden-Harris campaign continues to stretch New Horizons’ horizons for customization by designing virtual versions of real-life merchandise. Joining the Democrat’s Animal Crossing line are eight sweaters and a hoodie from the Team Joe store and Believe in Better range, which celebrates diversity and pride.
Biden also shared the apparel’s design codes on his Instagram stories so supporters can snap up official swag for free.
Christian Tom, director of digital partnerships for the team, told Mashable in a statement that the crew was “blown away by the enthusiasm and energy” from fans who have thrown their support for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Luckily for enthusiasts, there are more in-game surprises to come. “Between now and Election Day, you can definitely expect more from us on Animal Crossing as we continue scaling up our voter education and organizing efforts,” Tom assured.
