The BBC’s Great British Bake Off poster has caused quite a stir on the internet after it showed an illustrated version of the show’s nuts-flashing squirrel.

Viewers were taken aback to see the image of the squirrel’s privates in the ad for the show. Shots of the real squirrel showing off its penis first made an appearance in the show back in 2011 before being replaced by a pheasant in 2016.

Now, the NSFW squirrel is back in animated form to promote the latest series. Dwight McLean, who saw the ad at the bus stop, was offended by it. “On the top of the advert is a squirrel exposing himself. Full frontal,” McLean said. “He has his penis out. He has his legs apart and you can see his testicles as they are so large.”



McLean thought the character did not go well with the theme of the show despite its history, branding it “pornographic.” Check out the squirrel and its anatomy in the ad below.
