Christian Louboutin is taking the fashion world into the digital realm by creating an entire virtual city for its Spring 2021 collection amid the
coronavirus pandemic.
The fashion label has transported the City of Love into social networking app
Zepeto with a central square, traditional Parisian restaurant, a creperie, a carousel, the twinkling Eiffel tower and a virtual remodel of the rue Saint-Honoré flagship and a Loubi Disco.
Guests can download the app and create avatars of themselves using facial recognition technology. They can then visit the designer’s newly-opened store in Paris, where they can try out the brand’s latest collection and add a leather piece from the new season.
The guests can take virtual photos with the designer himself and shoot content of themselves in the digital universe. They can also drop by Loubi Disco, where there will be virtual performances by DJ Zimmer and pop star King Princess.
