Glenn Close has paid homage to her iconic performance as Cruella de Vil in the 1996 film 101 Dalmations in her latest Instagram update.

Since October marks the start of Halloween, the actress decided to get into the mood by creating a homemade version of her character’s look. She ordered a black and white wig online and purchased Dalmatian puppy ears from a local store.

To recreate Cruella de Vil’s red cigarette holder, Close painted a chopstick red. She then cut off the fingertips of a pair of red gloves, which were worn over a pair of black ones, before attaching long black nails on them.

Close wore silk long johns and a black coat to pull the look together. As for the makeup department, she used baby powder to emulate the character’s pale visage.



Close’s fans applauded her innovative attempt, with one Instagram commenting, “This may be the best thing on Instagram… Ever!”
