Twitter Temporarily Locks Donald Trump’s Account For Exposing Private Details

In the midst of his tweetstorms, President Donald Trump has had a few run-ins with Twitter. The latest move from the social network in regard to Trump involves the temporary ban of his account, as one of his tweets violated its private-information policy.
Twitter confirmed with Business Insider that it had to lock Trump’s account as he had revealed the email address of New York Post columnist Miranda Devine without her consent.
Trump commended Devine’s writeup about how he apparently overcame the coronavirus and “bounce[d] back onto the campaign trail.” However, there is no confirmation that POTUS has recovered from the virus.

The president tweeted a now-deleted followup that included Devine’s email address, leading to a rampage of insults being sent her way, Sky News Australia reports.
Devine told the publication, “People [were] just very angry… and they’re furious about the fact Donald Trump has actually seemingly beaten the coronavirus.”
Twitter later locked Trump’s account, as its rules prohibit users from sharing “other people’s private information without their express authorization and permission.”
Violators of the private-information guideline will continue to have their accounts locked until the offending tweet is deleted.
