Researchers Find A Certain ‘Look’ Among Women That Often Means She’s Into You

When it comes to flirting, not everyone can take a hint. That is why researchers at the University of Kansas have conducted a series of studies, published in the Journal of Sex Research, to uncover the most effective facial expression between women that men would deem as romantic interests.
The team gathered a group of women made of volunteers and actresses to portray a “flirting expression” that they would use in real life, or follow instructions given by the researchers based on “existing anthropological literature.”
The research used a “Facial Action Coding System” (FACS) to analyze the participants’ facial expressions when they tried to flirt with the men in the study groups.
At the end, the study concluded three signs that seemed to imply flirting. A woman would tend to turn her head down to one side and tilt it down slightly. Her eyes would then lock into her romantic interest’s as she carries a slight smile throughout the interaction.
