Reddit Directs Horny Users To ‘r/OnlyFans’, A Page Designed To Disappoint Them

Throw a dice filled with word prompts, and Reddit will probably have a thread for that. The online forum has discussions for just about every topic you can think of, including X-rated ones. While the social media platform is no stranger to NSFW content, one particular subreddit is set up to leave very little satisfaction to those who desire it.
On Thursday, Reddit took to Twitter to drop the name of a thread that horny users might not be aware of. The subreddit, r/OnlyFans, is named after the subscription-based adult platform where members can pay sex workers for some intimate content.
Unfortunately for Redditors hankering to obtain premium visuals for free, they’ll soon find out that the moniker literally means only fans.
“Welcome to r/OnlyFans! Take a seat and enjoy the breeze!” the page’s subtitle reads.
According to the community’s moderator u/nerooooooo, the page was originally dedicated to NSFW content, but was shut down in 2018 after a flurry of copyright infringement notices.
They then submitted a request to take over the page, promising to “transform the subreddit into something completely SFW” and “in no way related to what it was originally.”
“From now on, this sub will be dedicated to all sorts of fans (hand fans, ceiling fans, table fans). As a rule of thumb: if it blows air, it’s a fan,” the administrator elaborated.
Nevertheless, those looking for some variety will get what they were hoping for. The community doesn’t discriminate against the type of fan, whether electrical or paper.
“And yes, PC enthusiasts are welcome to post their coolers as well, as long as they’re not water coolers,” the page’s owner pointed out.
