NASA Wants You To Help It Find Alien Worlds From The Comfort Of Your Home

NASA has launched a new project called Planet Patrol for Earth dwellers to help the agency seek other worlds in space.
NASA is looking for volunteers to view the images captured by its Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) and identify signals from possible planets and planet impersonators.
“Automated methods of processing TESS data sometimes fail to catch imposters that look like exoplanets,” Veselin Kostov, the NASA researcher helming the Planet Patrol project, detailed.
The agency claims that the human eye is able to spot the imposters and distinguish between real planets and lookalikes. Join the project here.
