Flaming Lips Frontman Wants To Hold Concerts In Front Of ‘Bubbled’ Audiences

Rock band The Flaming Lips has found a way to perform live during the coronavirus pandemic this year. Recently, the group played for NPR’s Tiny Desk, as well as The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, with each member stationed in separate bubbles.
Now, frontman Wayne Coyne is extending the bubbles to concertgoers. The 59-year-old told music site BrooklynVegan that the band is getting ready to do a set up a gig where there are “three people in each of these space bubbles.”
The band plans to play a couple of shows per night, and hopefully gather a significant amount of guests for each set. In the meantime, check out its latest performances below.
