Apple’s iPhone 12 Sparks Top-Notch Memes Over Design That Looks Like iPhone 5

Apple CEO Tim Cook has unveiled four new iPhones recently, but social media users are struck by the similarities between the latest iPhone 12 and its 2012 predecessor, the iPhone 5.
The tech juggernaut announced that the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro will be released on 23 October 2020, while the 12 Pro Max and the 12 Mini will be made available from 1 November 2020.
The company stated that the new iPhone will be equipped with 5G connectivity and an A14 bionic chip. It also touted that the latest models will be the “toughest” and “brightest” iPhones in history as they now come with ‘Ceramic Shield’ screens.
However, the hype is not about the latest drop and its specifications, but the likeness between the new edition and the classic iPhone 5 released back in 2012.
Many users expressed their disappointment, while others made memes about the resemblance.
“We waited a whole year to just get a newer version of the iPhone 5,” one user lamented.
