Dunkin’ Seeks To Set Your Palate Ablaze With Its First-Ever Spicy Donut

America heats up on Dunkin’ as the chain brings in its first-ever spicy donut.
Don’t be fooled by its innocuous strawberry icing and red sanding sugar. The punning Spicy Ghost Pepper Donut, released in time for Halloween, is both a trick and a treat.
Mixed into the icing of the limited-edition baked yeast donut are cayenne and ghost pepper, which is notorious for being among the hottest chili peppers in the world.
Created with the culinary daredevil in mind, the donut will be tasted by Hot Ones host Sean Evans alongside a selection of hot sauces in a special episode of the hit YouTube show.
Dunkin’ says the “deliciously daring donut” will only be around for “a few hot minutes” at participating US locations, which will serve the ring of fire until December.
Along with the ghost pepper-flavored donut, Dunkin’ has launched a Halloween-themed DIY donut decorating kit to keep trick-or-treaters satisfied during this unprecedented stay-home period. Each set will arrive with plain yeast or Old Fashioned cake donuts, as well as orange, white and black icing and sprinkles.
