Paris Hilton Wants To Get Hold Of Banksy’s Spoof Of Her Debut Album

In 2006, mysterious street artist Banksy created over a hundred fake copies of Paris Hilton’s debut album Paris and distributed them in several record stores across the UK. Now, as one of the rare CDs has landed in an auction, Hilton wants it for herself.
Banksy’s reimagined CD includes fake tracks like Why Am I Famous?, What Have I Done?, and remixes with DJ Danger Mouse.
“Banksy is an iconic artist and I thought it was really cool that he would take that time to go and get 500 of my albums and do that to them,” Hilton said in an interview with Bustle recently.
The reality star also shared that she has been trying to purchase one of the spoof CDs for herself. “I’m trying to wait for another one [to be on sale] because they’re very limited edition,” she added.
Earlier this week, TateWard Auctions put up a single copy for auction, which was later sold at £8,750 (US$11,287). The buyer has yet to be identified, but hopefully, Hilton will manage to get her very own spoof copy soon.
