Adele Gets Her Palm Read For 2020 In Dark ‘SNL’ Sketch Set In 2019

In one of Saturday Night Live’s latest sketches, a group of friends—including guest star Adele—visit a psychic (played by comedian Kate McKinnon) to have their prophecies for 2020 told.

Since 2020 has been a year filled with unexpected twists and turns, especially due to the coronavirus pandemic, viewers can relate to the shock and horror the characters faced when they received a glimpse into the coming year through the psychic Madame Vivelda’s so-called predictions.

At one point, the soothsayer jokes that Adele will be on the phone with a FedEx delivery man asking about a coloring book she ordered. This is a cheeky reference to a viral meme of Adele from this year when paparazzi captured her screaming on the phone.

McKinnon‘s character also details that there aren’t going to be any concerts taking place in 2020, and viewers know why.
