Photographer’s Consent Form With ‘Sexual Arousal’ Clause Has Community In Revolt

A Melbourne-based photographer has been criticized online after being found to have asked models to sign a “Consent and Release Form” with a “sexual arousal” clause, enabling him to “participate in sexual activity” with them if they felt “comfortable.”
“To accept and acknowledge there may be times of sexual arousal by either or both parties,” the document read. “And so, I understand and allow that if the desire for me to touch the photographer or to be touched by the photographer occurs that it will be permitted by both parties,” it added.
This contract was reportedly presented to models, and they had to sign it before photoshoots.
According to PetaPixel, a 21-year-old model was approached by the photographer over Instagram to work with him. Despite repeated refusals, he continually insisted on a partnership, which left her no choice but to block him on the platform.
The photographer apparently also runs a massage parlor exclusively for women, offering massages with “no time limit” and a “free basic medical check.”
A photo of the contract has been shared on social media with a warning to models residing in Melbourne. “Warning to Melbourne girls!” the post read. “Stay away. This consent form is disgusting!”
On the photographer’s part, he claimed that he hasn’t used the form “in months” and is currently using the “standard” consent form. According to news reports, the photographer has declined to comment and is seeking legal advice.
