Halloween In COVID Era Inspires Homes To Build Social Distancing ‘Candy Chutes’

The coronavirus pandemic has canceled several social events this year, but many have found a way around celebrating Halloween.
Enter “candy chutes.” Many people have put up homemade chutes for candies so that people can have a safe and socially-distant trick-or-treating experience.
The concept behind the candy chutes isn’t exactly new. In 2016, Twitter user Chris Baier had created a PVC rig that was connected from his second-floor window to the ground. Baier came up with the concept because he didn’t want to leave his front door open for safety reasons.
Now, his idea has become widespread amid the virus crisis. Check out some creative candy chutes below.
