Playboy Is Suing Fashion Nova For Ripping Off Iconic Sexy Bunny Costume Design

Playboy is synonymous to its iconic bunny costume worn by the company’s playmates. Now, Fashion Nova has allegedly ripped off the bunny design in its new Halloween collection, and Playboy isn’t pleased about that.
Previously, the media company had sent a cease-and-desist letter to the fashion retailer, demanding the latter to take down the bunny set from its website. However, Fashion Nova continued to sell the outfit, prompting Playboy to file a copyright infringement lawsuit against the brand.
Fashion Nova’s version features a black bodysuit, a bowtie collar, tuxedo cuffs, and a pair of bunny ears and tail. The design bears resemblance to Playboy’s world-famous raunchy bunny ensemble worn by its Playmates.
The fast-fashion giant had also named the product “Bunny of the Month” previously, but Playboy called it out for being too similar to the Playmate of the Month trademark.
Fashion Nova has continued to sell the item, though it now takes on a few different names, like “Miss B Bunny” and “Bunny Hop.”
