Reese Debuts Portable ‘Trick-Or-Treat Door’ That Can Safely Dispense Candies

Reese is making Halloween extra safe this year amid the coronavirus pandemic with its portable Trick-or-Treat Door.
The 9-foot robot door, powered by motors, can be controlled by humans from up to 5,000 feet away. It will dispense a king-size Reese’s candy bar from its “mail slot” when someone says the words, “trick or treat.”
It’ll be pretty hard to miss the moving door as it blow smoke, lights up and plays Halloween-theme music.
The robot door was first introduced in Brookhaven, Pennsylvania, which delighted many children in the area.
“This Halloween is unlike any other, so we’ve upped the ante on creativity as a result,” Allen Dark, Reese’s senior brand manager, said in a statement. “A robotic Reese’s dispensing door is just what the world needs right now!”
