WWF UK has launched a poignant new Christmas ad that highlights the vulnerability of the planet’s wildlife and the shared connection to our home.

The organization has teamed up with Uncommon Creative Studio to raise awareness and funds to help protect this endangered species as well and its natural habitat.

The spot tells the story of a girl following the trail of an imaginary elephant through her hometown, which is an urban city center that is far away from the elephant’s natural home.

It highlights the serious issue of habitat destruction and the need for humans and elephants to have homes where both are able to thrive.

The ad ends with a heartfelt message that reads, “We would all be lost without a home, let’s protect theirs.”

Chief executive at WWF Tanya Steele describes, “Every day, there are fewer places left that wildlife can call home. But we have the power to change things for the better.”

Christmas is the most opportune time for fundraising for the organization, and with it, WWF generates income to protect the elephants and their habitats. “The generous donations we receive enable us to deliver positive environmental change across the globe and create a home where both nature and people can thrive,” Steele adds.

2020 has been challenging for us all. It's reminded us of the importance of our homes and families, particularly at #Christmas.

That's why our advert this year is on elephants - animals who rely on family ties too yet are losing their homes every day. #FightForYourWorld pic.twitter.com/QBkOjynOk4

'Since 1979, African elephants have disappeared from over 50% of their home-range. With their habitat under constant pressure and the continued risk of poaching, this moving spot highlights the need for action.'
