Disney Tugs At Heartstrings With Christmas Short Showcasing Family Traditions

Disney has launched a three-minute Christmas advert called From Our Family To Yours depicting a tale about family traditions and bonds during the festive season.
The animated film starts with a young girl who receives a Mickey Mouse toy from her father in 1940. Later on, viewers see the girl growing up into a grandmother, also referred to as Lola in Tagalog.
The grandmother then passes on her Mickey Mouse toy to her granddaughter when they share a family tradition of building lanterns for Christmas yearly.
The company teamed up with New Zealand-based animation studio Flux to bring the tearjerking story to life.
Angela Affinita, brand and creative marketing director at Disney Consumer Products, Games and Publishing in EMEA, shared that she took inspiration from her Filipina grandmother for the creation of the short.
Viewers are also treated to “Hidden Mickeys” and nostalgic trinkets, like a snow globe with Disneyland Paris, throughout the video.
