See Alibaba’s Delivery Warehouse In China That’s Run By AI Robots

E-commerce juggernaut Alibaba has installed artificially intelligent (AI) robots into one of its Chinese delivery warehouse, which has ultimately improved its production rate by 300 percent.
Nestled in the Huiyang district of China’s Huizhou, the 32,000-square-foot warehouse has enlisted AI robots by Quicktron, a Shanghai-based startup, to boost workflow.
Known as automated guided vehicles (AGVs), the bots operate using a wireless network to receive instructions for assignments and help human workers with warehouse operations like packing and checking inventory.
The machine’s moving speed is around five feet per second and it can withstand the weight of up to 500kg.
The smart bots are also able to return to the charging bots on their own when the battery life is running low, and communicate with each other to make way and avoid collisions in the factory, per Alizila, news hub for Alibaba Group.
