Google Hides Over 40 Classic Films In Maps To Watch For Free

Venturing out of your home isn’t as easy as it used to be. Google is thus introducing travel in a new way through its campaign with the British Film Institute.
In preparation for another lockdown and the launch of a Google Pixel presents Mobile Camera initiative, Google Maps has planted more than 40 British movie titles in its interface to send fans on a “virtual movie hunt.”
Google Maps will drop clues of where to locate the films—which include Skyfall, Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit, Shaun of the Dead, and Phantom Thread—this month ahead of the hunt. After finding the movies across a UK map, users will be able to watch the titles wherever they are.
The only condition is that fans will need to be connected to a 5G network on their mobile devices to participate in the program.
Soniya Jobanputra, Google Pixel product manager, described, “Google Pixel presents Mobile Cinema will allow the nation to rediscover these films from our past and instantly transport themselves, whether they’re on the sofa, in the park, or moving between rooms – Pixel 5G will allow you to download and watch these films instantly.”
