This Optical Illusion Rug Gives The Effect Of A Deep, Gaping Hole In The Floor

You can now own a black hole in the middle of your home. Well, not exactly—but you can create that effect to give your visitors a good scare.
Designer Scott Jarvie has created the Round Void rug, which produces the illusion of a huge circular void in the floor when seen at a certain angle.
The rug was deliberately designed to trick the perspective of the viewer with the use of light, pattern, and texture.
“The design was inspired by the notion that the design of a two-dimensional rug could be informed by a three-dimensional approach,” according to the rug’s description.
The Round Void rug is priced from £180 (US$239) to £340 (US$450) on DELUPO.
