Easily Calculate Your Carbon Emissions And Offset Them With This Cool App

“Leave nothing but footprints,” is what many places want you to do, but that’s easier said than done. Even getting to a venue or destination requires carbon emissions.
The good news is you can easily and accurately “offset” the impact you’ve unintentionally made on the environment. As shared by Apartment Therapy, there’s a neat app called ‘Aerial’ that assesses your carbon footprint and offers ways to alleviate it without leaving your home.
Aerial, founded by entrepreneurs who have worked with Facebook, Google, and Microsoft, scours your inbox to look for Uber and Lyft receipts, flight itineraries, and train tickets, and calculates your carbon emissions from these attachments.
On its website, Aerial touts itself as the “easiest, most accurate way” to discover your carbon footprint and put “climate action in your hands.”
The app also shows you how well you’ve done as compared to other users. You can even pit against your friends to find out who has saved the most trees.
Aerial will convert your carbon footprint into an amount in credits that you can purchase to help out forest conservation partners.
Apartment Therapy reports that since the app debuted in October, its users have already saved 482 trees. You can find out more about the app here.
