Tennis superstar Roger Federer is a brand in himself.
Federer had his own logo during his partnership with Nike but the logo went out of sight since Federer moved to new sponsor UNIQLO. However, it has now returned as Federer took to Instagram to tease new UNIQLO caps that feature the iconic ‘RF’ logo.
In a video shared on his Twitter, he announced the relaunch of the ‘RF’ cap. Available in eight different colorways, the cap has the iconic ‘RF’ symbol on the front and the ‘Go Roger’ logo at the back.
Over the years, the logo has been associated with his success on court. However, the switch to UNIQLO in 2018 caused an ownership dispute of the logo between between Federer and Nike.
During his partnership with Nike for 15 years, the sportswear giant used the logo extensively. But now, Federer managed to secure full ownership of the wordmark.
Priced at ¥1,990 (US$19), the caps will be available at UNIQLO’s website this 8 December.
