TIME Magazine Marks 2020 With A Glaring Red ‘X’, Declaring It ‘Worst Year Ever’

With 2020 almost ending, TIME magazine has released a cover we all can relate to.

The cover shows 2020 with a glaring ‘X’ through it and the words “the worst year ever” printed underneath. The red ‘X’ is symbolic, as TIME has used it on only four other occasions.

The publication previously applied it after Adolf Hitler’s death; in response to Saddam Hussein at the start of the Iraq war in 2003; to recount the killing of Al-Qaeda leader Abu Mousab al-Zarqawi; and as a graphical reaction to the demise of Osama bin Laden in 2011.
