KFC Puts A Sexy Spin On The Colonel With Steamy Soap Opera Starring Mario Lopez

KFC has teamed up with Mario Lopez and creative agency Wieden+Kennedy Portland to portray Colonel Sanders in A Recipe For Seduction, the fast-food giant’s mini-movie for Lifetime.
The video sees Lopez as a young chef with a secret fried chicken recipe being caught in a suspenseful romance with the daughter of an affluent family. He disrupts a woman’s plan to marry off her heiress daughter to a suitor.
“Mark your calendars because Lifetime and @KFC have partnered for a Lifetime Original Mini-Movie you don't want to miss,” the cable network wrote on Twitter. It also tweeted the film’s poster, showing Lopez as the charming version of the iconic fast-food personality.
Based on the trailer, the storyline appears to be packed with mystery, deception and “fowl” play. Fans of Lopez have gushed at the new portrayal and his Sanders getup.
“Lifetime is releasing a horny KFC movie staring Mario Lopez as Colonel Sanders. I will never recover,” a fan tweeted. “I don’t like KFC, Lifetime movies, or Mario Lopez, but together—magic. Thank you, 2020!” another chimed in.
A Recipe For Seduction will premiere on Sunday, 13 December at 12pm ET/PT.
