GitHub Flaunts Dark Mode Like You’ve Never Seen It Before In Dramatic Animation

Code hosting platform GitHub has finally introduced a dark mode theme for its website.
The site revealed the dark theme during GitHub Universe, its annual developer conference which took place online this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The company has now posted a dramatic video on Twitter with the caption, “echo ‘hello darkness’ #GitHubUniverse #Keynote.” The animated clip depicts a website being dipped into a black abyss, transforming it into the sleek dark theme.
Dark Mode is said to reduce eyestrain, as well as curb battery drainage on certain devices.
GitHub users can now choose between Light or Dark modes, according to their preferences, by heading to the new Appearance sub-menu in settings.
