Dior was set to display its Fall 2021 Men’s show in Beijing, but the coronavirus pandemic thwarted the plan, prompting the label to shift the fashion spectacle online.
The luxury brand presented a dazzling visual experience in its menswear runway show via vibrant intergalactic backdrops.
The apparel line was created in collaboration with iconic street artist Kenny Scharf. It features the artist’s notable paintings on brocade and Chinese seed-stitch embroidery. Bold psychedelic prints are also scattered across the collection.
Wearing the new pieces, the models paraded the stage with neon space buns and bowl-cut hairstyles, further exuding the futuristic appeal.
“I wanted to do something quite fun and poppy, because everything’s so down at the moment,” Dior’s creative director Kim Jones said about the event, per WWD.
