Adidas Is Releasing Always Dry ‘Gremlin’ Sneakers Complete With Creepy Eyes

Adidas Originals is set to release a pair of Gremlins-inspired Stan Smith sneakers that you can strut around in during the holidays.
The Christmas Monster kicks pay homage to Gizmo, the most pivotal character in Gremlins, and are clad in brown and cream faux fur. While the sneakers retain their typical form, the branding on the heel, tongue and mid-panel are replaced with unique touches of the character.
The back tab has actual eyes, a nod to Gizmo’s, while the insoles are painted in the same tone as Gizmo’s skin. Adidas Originals has also wrapped the shoes in waterproof GORE-TEX, emulating the character’s skin that stays dry all the time.
The footwear is housed in a shoebox that is designed like the wrapping paper used for Billy’s gift in the show.
Priced at €119.95 (US$145.47), the sneakers are set for release on 19 December.
