Disney princesses aren’t exactly living happily ever after during the COVID-19 crisis. As Indonesian artist Andhika Muksin imagines, they’re gritting their teeth through the chaos, just like the rest of us. We’re all mad here.
Being used to the instant gratification from magic and handouts from fairy godmothers has made it especially difficult for princes, princesses, and villains to deal with the new normal rationally. The artist, known for his realistically unglamorous remixes of Disney characters, envisions them freaking out over the terrible ending of a television series and getting ghastly quarantine haircuts.
Some of them have channeled this time to boost their vlogging careers, and Muksin sees them getting creative with their homes as their backdrops. This is not the time to be out socializing with the mice and birds, everyone.
If you’re stuck in a rut, just remember that the poor unfortunate souls in the Disney universe aren’t faring excellently, either.
