Adobe Lightroom Now Runs Natively On Apple M1 And Windows ARM Devices

Adobe Lightroom now has a native app for Apple devices with the new M1 chip, as well as for Windows ARM platforms.
In a recent blog post, Adobe announced that the new app has been “rebuilt to take advantage of the newest performance and power efficiency benefits.” It will be able to natively run on Apple M1 devices, including the new Mac Mini, MacBook Air and Mac Pro, as well as on computers optimized by Windows’ ARM processors.
The new update will allow the app to seamlessly function on most platforms. Adobe’s Sharad Mangalick also added that Lightroom will be improved for those using Intel-based computers. “Don’t worry… we’ll continue to invest in and improve Lightroom for you too,” he wrote.
Additionally, Lightroom Classic and Photoshop has now been certified to work on Apple Rosetta emulation, as well. The apps can be downloaded via Adobe’s official website.
In the same announcement, Adobe shared that users can now import and edit images taken in the Apple ProRAW format to Camera Raw, Lightroom Classic, or Lightroom.
