Pringles Unveils Character’s Full Body For The First Time To Help A Good Cause

Pringles’ mascot Mr. P—yes, that’s his name—hasn’t only had a facelift, but he’s also embracing a little body confidence for a meaningful cause.

Earlier this month, the potato chip brand dyed the character’s mustache to black, matching his now-jet black eyes, for a more minimalist appeal. This somehow raised the question, what does a full-body Mr. P look like?

The inquiry was propelled to the masses after Last Week Tonight host John Oliver publicly considered the question on Tuesday and swam around in it. “Is he tall or short? Does he have a lot of body hair, or is he completely smooth?” he pondered on his HBO program. “When will he be able to tell me what his nipples look like? Are you talking hours or are you talking days?”

Oliver was so vexed by it, he offered to donate US$10,000 to hunger relief nonprofit Feeding America in exchange for an answer.

Pringles has proven that once you pop a good question, it can’t stop until that question has been answered. Rather than let a disembodied image stick in fans’ heads, it has, for the first time, revealed the full body of Mr. P.

In a new video, shown below, Mr. P welcomes viewers into his home, and once inside, they are presented with the appearance of a lanky figure wearing a white Pringles-branded T-shirt.

Red also seems to be the mascot’s favorite color, as he is dressed in a red blazer with matching trousers.

“In honor of every second John has thought of Mr. P’s body, we are donating $1 to Feeding America, which happens to be $10K,” the snack brand announced on Twitter.

Now, if only it could change up its mildly infuriating “Merry Pringles” holiday tagline.
