Supermarket Pulls Out All Stops With Full ‘Grand Theft Auto’-Inspired Design

A supermarket in Lviv, Ukraine, has taken inspiration from popular video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for its interior design.
Supermarket chain Silpo opened a new store filled with references from TV shows like Baywatch and video games like GTA San Andreas, GTA Vice City and GTA V.
Customers are able view murals, distinct signboards, iconic graffiti works, surfboards, and other trinkets that beam resemblance to the shows and video games.
However, a local publication called AIN pointed out that the company might not have gotten approval from Rockstar Games to use the trademarked imagery.
Silpo responded by saying that the store is “based on legality, good faith and respect for the rights and legitimate interests of other economic entities[…].” It also added that the company “supports the process of negotiations with the copyrighters aiming to resolve the issue with copyright usage.”
