Netflix Accidentally Leaks Logo For ‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ 3D Animated Series

Netflix has announced that it is making a new Sonic the Hedgehog 3D animated series in collaboration with SEGA.
Details on the series are still scarce, but Netflix did reveal that it will premiere sometime in 2022. Other than that, it prematurely flashed an image of the Netflix symbol next to a Sonic the Hedgehog logo.
The teaser image, which has been taken down, shows a silhouette of the modern 3D Sonic design in red. The hedgehog is also depicted without eyes, which looks rather haunting.
“Rings? Check. Sneakers? Check. Speed? SONIC. SEGA’s legendary video game icon Sonic the Hedgehog races onto Netflix in a new 3D animated series from SEGA, Wild Brain, and Man of Action premiering in 2022,” read the announcement from the official ‘NX’ Twitter account.
It is still unclear how Sonic will be depicted in the series. There have been different versions of the character throughout the years. The classic Sonic has a rounder and shorter head and body, while Sonic Boom has longer legs and much more angular features.
If Netflix is using the character similar to that in its teaser, then it might have opted for the 3D Sonic, which is a classic and youthful depiction of the SEGA character. The 3D design shows Sonic having a more slender torso than the classic Sonic, but it doesn’t look too angular like the Sonic Boom design.
Netflix hasn’t provided any more details on the series so stay tuned.

If that were the case, Paramount would be working on it and if they were it would be on CBS All Access, not Netflix.
