Nifty Velcro Mask Makes Dining At Restaurants More Convenient During The Crisis

Japanese company Taniokaguchi Fukusou has found a less cumbersome way to dine in restaurants in the COVID era.
The company has launched the Eat Mask, which features Velcro straps in the middle of the face covering. All the wearer needs to do is remove the velcro to open up the fabric covering their mouth and enjoy their food normally.
Once they are done, they can cover their mouth by refastening the velcro back again. The velcro can be removed from the left, right, or be hoisted right up, depending on which side you’re comfortable with.
However, do note that this fabric mask isn’t guaranteed to protect you from the virus. Instead, it is better in protecting “the wearer from allergens such as dust and pollen, [easing] throat dryness and [stifling] coughs and sniffles,” the company said.
Available in quirky prints and patterns, this mask currently comes in two sizes for women and men. Priced at ¥1,500 (US$14.50), the mask is available to purchase here.
