Twitter Is Working On Chat Rooms Where You Communicate By Voice

Twitter has rolled out a beta test for a new feature, called Spaces, which is essentially an audio chat room for users.
Twitter detailed that the “small experiment, focused on the intimacy of the human voice” could provide another layer of connection between its users as they converse via voice clips.
The test program runs on iOS, and users selected for the beta interact in a host-moderated audio conversation between two or more people.
The company recognizes that people would want to feel comfortable and in control when communicating online. So, the participants in the chat rooms have the option to only invite the people they want to communicate with. Additionally, Twitter is also testing its reporting and blocking tools to provide a safe platform for its users.
The feature now includes reaction emojis into the chat rooms, including the 100, raised hand, fist, peace sign, and wave icons. Furthermore, Twitter has also started a “very early version” of live transcriptions in the chat rooms, and the option to share tweets into a Space.
If the tool gets greenlit, users will be able to create a Space by tapping and holding on the Compose button or access it via the Fleet creation screen by swiping right on the app. They can then invite other users into their spaces by sending them the link via direct message.
