There’s A Handbag Designed To Carry Your Most Delicate Friend, A Snowman

With a compartment built specifically for a snowman, Japanese bagmaker Tsuchiya Kaban’s conceptual ‘Snowman Carrier’ stands to be the coolest handbag yet.
The funny yet sophisticated silhouette was designed by Yuko Matsuzawa, who found herself looking back at a thought many had as kids: “I wish I could bring a snowman home.” Now old enough with the resources to make this possible, Matsuzawa created a leather bag to chauffeur tiny snowpeople around.

The Snowman Carrier is made for ice, ice, baby. Apart from being crafted in waterproof leather, the bag’s interior features a cooling polyester, the material used in cooler bags.

It even has a pocket for a carrot nose!
Special thought has been placed on how a snowman would move when carried around in the bag. It would naturally wobble, so to combat that, Matsuzawa added a base with a rounded dent to support the snowman’s spherical shape.

To ensure the star of the show stands out, the designer chose charcoal gray to contrast the snowman’s “pure white” body. The good times aren’t going to last anyway, so it deserves a platform to shine.
Unfortunately, the bag isn’t on sale, but the company will put it on display at its stores in Japan through 28 February 2021.
