You Can Be A ‘Pokémon’ Consultant If You’ve Put 900 Hours Into Its Games

Technology company Tencent is looking to hire a Pokémon consultant for its future online game Pokémon Unite.
Niko Partners’ senior analyst Daniel Ahmad shared on Twitter that the company is looking to create 19 jobs related to the franchise. One of the roles is a Pokémon consultant who needs to be well-versed in knowledge about the franchise.
The first two requirements are fairly easy for long-time fans of Pokémon. Applicants need to know the history of Pokémon as well as have cleared all of the games with a combined 900 hours and more of total playtime.
Tencent also requires potentials to have achieved the ‘Master Ball’ rank in the game’s competitive mode, which is no easy feat. Also, those interested in the position will have to have watched at least 500 episodes of the anime.
Being an official Pokémon consultant takes more than just being familiar with the games. The listing indicates you have to be a super fan to be eligible for the job.
