Internet Archive’s Virtual Library Lets You Browse Books In A ‘Physical’ Space

The Internet Archive, a non-profit digital library for online content, has unveiled a beta version of its ‘Library Explorer’, which lets you browse around for books virtually, but in a similar way to how you would explore a physical library.
The Library Explorer was launched as part of the Internet Archive’s Open Library program, which offers access to a lineup of ebooks. The new feature hopes to evoke the sense of discovering books, instead of just scrolling and looking up titles through a web browser.
The website uses the Dewey Decimal and Library of Congress classification systems for easy browsing. It doesn’t function with an algorithm, so you will have to enter specific filters if you want to find a particular type of book.
If not, you can choose to spend time looking through the virtual shelves filled with ebooks. You can also opt to view the titles in 3D or flatlays. Visit the virtual library here.
