Italian TV Channel Canceled Show Teaching Women To Shop For Groceries ‘Sexily’

Italian broadcaster Rai 2 had to suspend one of its shows for giving a tutorial on “how to shop in a sexy way.”
The show titled Detto Fatto, which translates to No Sooner Said Than Done, was aired in November and featured ballerina and pole dancer teacher Emily Angelillo.
In the segment, Angelillo was seen dressed in heels and thigh-high shorts as she taught women how to shop provocatively in a supermarket.
She advised women to arch their backs to reach out for products on the higher shelves, and showed how to bend over to pick something up from the ground in a seductive way.
Towards the end of the tutorial, she improvised a seductive dance using a shopping trolley to move around.
The show was quickly canceled due to criticism and prompted the channel’s CEO, Fabrizio Salini, to launch an investigation on the program. He also said that the episode had “nothing to do with the spirit of the public service and with the editorial line of Rai.”
