Marie Kondo’s 8-Week Challenge Will Help Declutter Your Mind & Home For 2021

It’s time to pick up all the gunk from 2020 and kick off the year 2021 with a fresh start. You can do that by tidying up your home, because the less chaotic your living space and home office looks, the more welcome it’ll be for fresh ideas.
All this is easier said than done, though. Luckily, there’s organization expert Marie Kondo to turn to for help. The inventor of the KonMari concept has released an eight-week ‘Tidy Challenge’ consisting of “bite-size” everyday tasks to help you restore peace and productivity in your home while having fun.
You’ll focus on a theme each week. In the first week, you’ll acquaint yourself with KonMari basics and envision how you’ll want your home to look at the end of the challenge. In week two, you’ll start on clothes, week three’s plan involves the organization of books, week four’s schedule has you tidying papers, and so on. It’s all about taking baby steps, so the process will feel more like a boost in emotional state than a set of chores.
By week seven, you’ll have a spick-and-span, Marie Kondo-approved space. Week eight rewards you—you’ll get to have fun and fill it with items that—surprise, surprise—spark joy.
