IKEA Shows Cool Ways To Bring PANTONE’s 2021 Colors Of The Year Into Your Home

If you’re looking to brighten up your minimalist home, PANTONE’s two Colors of the Year could help you get there. The contrasting palette consists of a vibrant ‘Illuminating’ yellow and subdued ‘Ultimate Gray’, inviting you to experiment without venturing too far from your comfort zone.
Who better to turn to for home design advice than IKEA? The flatpack furniture giant is now giving PANTONE fans more reason to apply its swatches to their everyday lives by recommending 10 easy ways to bring the 2021 Colors of the Year to your living space.
It turns out that, in spite of its vividness, Illuminating yellow can serve as a neutral tone, as well. Light yellow PUDERVIVA bedding gives your bedroom a pop of color without appearing too harsh, and a mustard OMTÄNKSAM throw will have your couch looking cozy and inviting.
The timeless Ultimate Gray, on the other hand, is a welcoming, softer alternative for the usually stark monochromatic look.
“Ultimate ‘dependable’ Gray and Illuminating (yellow) are a contrast combination of two unexpected shades, yet pair perfectly to set the tone for the year,” IKEA Singapore described in its Facebook post.
